This Season of Life
Seasons, yes they come and they go. Some hang on and don't let go, Like winter time and all it's snow.
Yet as the seasons turn from hot to cold, There are seasons in life from young to old. We wonder where the time all went, As half our life is nearly spent.
And did we leave our family With thoughts of love and sweet memories? Did we live our life as Jesus would, Or did we just say, "wish I could."
I pray we showed integrity And left a worthy legacy, That honors God in every way, This is my prayer I often pray.
This season now is tough for me. Mom and Dad are not quite what they use to be. Much older now, can't move real well. The Golden Years?--that's a real hard sell.
With Mother in a nursing home, Each day's a challenge on it's own. Yet God has brought them here to stay, With family visits most every day.
To say I love you with a warm hug, And remind them of God' Eternal Love. This season of life, it to is good, For God keeps His promises Like He said He would.
